Privacy and information assurance are major privileges ensured by EU law giving a legitimate premise to help the freedoms of information subjects under the GDPR.

The right to privacy was not explicit enough to cover the information created in current culture from the expanded utilization of ICTs. The right to information insurance hence arose to shield people from likely maltreatment and abuse of information.

In this course, we will investigate how EU residents’ major privileges to security and information insurance can be ensured under the GDPR.
